QEPRMC Handover - Voting Guidance for Resident Owners

To help QEP resident owners understand the process to vote in the upcoming election for Directors to the new board of the Residents Management Company, here's a simple guide.

Eligible Voters are Resident Owners.  This means the individuals who own properties on Queen Elizabeth Park, Guildford.

A General Meeting of QEPRMC will be held at 7:15pm on Monday 16th October, 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Park Centre where Resident Owners will be able to vote for their choice of 6 new Directors.

A voting form has been sent to all owners which includes Personal Statements from each of the nominated Directors to help you decide who you wish to be elected to the new Board.  The voting form has two purposes:  a) to nominate a 'proxy' to vote on behalf of a Resident Owner at the General Meeting, b) to vote by post or email.

Nominations for proxy voters, or to vote by post or email, and must be received by Q1 Professional Services (QEPRMC's Company Secretary) no later than 6pm on Thursday 12th October, 2017.

You can send a scan or photo of your completed voting form to Q1 Professional Services by email, to arrive by that time, to [email protected].

Votes can also be cast in person at the General Meeting on Monday 16th October.

Resident Owners can only vote once per household, either in advance by mail / email OR at the General Meeting themselves or through their proxy.

You can vote for up to 6 Directors.  You may vote for fewer than 6 directors if you wish.

Ballot papers received with votes for more than 6 Directors will be considered void and excluded.

If multiple ballot papers are received from a single household, only the first received ballot paper received will be counted towards the vote.

The result of the vote will be communicated in the days after the General Meeting when all votes have been counted and ratified.

Hopefully this clarifies any questions you may have about the voting process.  If you have additional questions, please content contact Q1 Professional Services at [email protected] or the QEPRA Secretary at  [email protected]
